Easy "Carrot" Bubble Bars

These faux carrots make a fun surprising gift! Take them with you in the bath tub and watch those bubbles bubble up!

Prep Time 15 minutes
Dry time 1 day

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup bubble bath
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • orange soap coloring
  • green paper string

Instructions

  1. Pour the bubble bath into a mixing bowl.
  2. Carefully add the corn starch and stir to combine. Next, slowly add the flour. Stir the mixture in between. Depending on the brand of bubble bath you might not need to use all of the flour or you might have to add a little more.

  3. Knead the mixture until it start to form a "dough".

  4. Stretch out the bubble dough and place a few drops of orange soap coloring in the middle. Knead the dough some more to evenly spread out the color.

  5. Take some green paper string and measure about the length of your forearm. Take this measurement about 10 times, looping the string.

  6. Divide the bubble bath dough into 2 balls. Stretch out each ball and wrap it around either side of the looped paper string. Shape it into a carrot with your hands.

  7. Let the bubble bars dry for 1 to 2 days. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Soap coloring can stain your hands. If that's something you're worried about, try wearing gloves.

Results may vary depending on the type and brand of bubble bath you use.
