Golden Milk recipe

Ingredients

With fresh ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk or other nut milk
  • 1 inch piece fresh turmeric peeled and finely chopped
  • 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger peeled and finely chopped
  • 1/2 piece cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 piece vanilla bean
  • a pinch of crushed black pepper optional

With dried spices:

  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk or other nut milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch of crushed black pepper optional

Instructions

  1. Pour your (unsweetened) milk in a small cooking pot or sauce pan.
  2. Add your other ingredients, either your dried spices or the fresh ingredients. If you're using real vanilla bean, remove the seeds and add them to the mixture.
  3. Slowly bring to a boil on medium heat. Let it simmer for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. You can use a fine mesh sieve to catch the small pieces or spices. Enjoy!
