Stuck for Holiday Gift Ideas? Give your friends and family the gift of making their own Bath Bombs this year!
This Bath Bomb Kit in a Jar is a creative gift for those you know who are just as creative as you are!
With the Holiday gift season right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about what you’ll be getting everyone as presents this year. A specific art form loved by some, loathed by others.
And so the guessing game begins. From experience I know a gift can be a hit or a miss. And most of the time there’s a fine line between getting it right and not getting it at all.
Especially when you’ve spend big, it’s even more painful to watch the receivers’ fake (but well intended) attempt to look excited.
But there’s one gift everybody loves to receive.
You can never go wrong with a thoughtful, handmade gift!
I for one would have been thrilled to receive this DIY Bath Bomb Kit in a Jar when I was just starting out making bath bombs 😁
This bath bomb mixture has all the elements and ingredients you need to make your own bath bombs.
You can personalize the mixture with dried flowers, sprinkles or even some biodegradable glitter!
And by adding his or her (= the receivers’) favorite colorants and preferred scent of essential oil, you can truly give this gift a very personal touch!
Making your own bath bombs has never been easier when you use this bath bomb kit.
Bonus: Free Printable Label with Instructions
To make it even easier for the receiver to make the bath bombs, I’ve made a cute little Free Printable with Instructions.
You can print it out and wrap it around the jar. Or scale it to size and glue it onto the back of the jar.
All you have to do when you’re ready to use it is take out the metal or plastic molds and bottles of coloring and essential oils.
Next you pour the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
First add a couple of drops of essential oil to the mixture (follow the instructions on the bottle or packaging) and stir well.
Next is the coloring. Both mica powders and liquid colorings will work for this. You can choose one from a set of colorings you already own. That way you’re saving some pennies as well!
Add enough coloring to the mixture until you get the desired color. Stir the mixture well in between.
Now all you have to do is add some liquid. Start by slowly adding 1 teaspoon of witch hazel or rubbing alcohol (my preferred choices). Stir well in between.
Keep adding more liquid until the mixture starts to clump together. As soon as you squeeze the mixture in the palm of your hand and it holds together the mixture is ready.
Now fill your molds with the mixture and press both sides together.
