My first Bath Bomb recipe of the New Year!
And what better way to kick off than with these rainbow colored Unicorn inspired Bath Bombs.
These bath fizzies look like little unicorn droppings. Which weirdly makes them extremely cute.

What you’ll need:
- 1/2 cup baking soda
1/4 cup citric acid
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup epsom salt
1 tbsp. almond oil – or another oil like coconut or olive oil
Spraying bottle with witch hazel or water
A few drops of essential oil – I used lavender and rose geranium
Different colors of soap coloring – you can also use food coloring
I made 2 medium sized and 1 small bath bomb with this recipe.
Let’s begin!
Mix dry ingredients
Combine the baking soda, citric acid and cornstarch in a bowl. Mix well until combined.
Add the oil
Carefully add 1 tablespoon of oil. I used almond oil, but you can also use another oil like coconut oil or olive oil.
You can also leave the oil out, which I would recommend if you live in a very humid climat. In the color step you will already be adding liquid.
Stir the mixture well until all the ingredients are combined.
Add some color
Divide the mixture over several batches, depending on the amount of colors you want to use.
I went with blue, yellow, green and red (which turned out a pretty pink).
Fill your spraying bottle with 1 tablespoon of witch hazel or water. Add 2-3 drops of soap coloring.
I finally decided to buy myself a soap coloring kit that can also be used to color bath bombs. I really think it’s the better choice over food coloring if you are into making your own bath fizzies!
Very carefully spray the mixture and stir well. Take some of the mixture in your hand and squeeze. Keep spraying until the mixture clumps together.
Rinse out the spraying bottle (or use a different one) and do the same for each color.
Create unicorn Poop
Fill both sides of your mold with the mixture. Layer different colors on top of each other. Press the mixture down firmly as you go.
Let the bath bombs dry overnight and reveal your unicorn poop inspired bath bombs the next day!
Drop a ‘dropping’ in your bath water and daydream of dancing unicorns.
