Big news! + My new year’s resolutions: blog edition

As I said in my Best of 2014 post last week, I can’t believe it’s been a year already.

I have loved every single like, follow and comment. And I love DIYing with you.

A new year has started for my online and offline life and I’m so excited to share this first news with you.

*drumroll please!*

The Makeup Dummy gets her own little space on the internet!

OK, so maaaaaybe that doesn’t excite you as much as it does me.

But getting my own URL feels like a big deal. My blog is finally grown up now.

If all goes well you should be seeing a new name at the top of this page sometime soon!

A new year and a new name also means a new beginning. So I present:

my new year’s resolutions!

Every recipe preservative free (aka water free)

DIY Beauty is cheap, easy and effective, but it comes with a few downsides.

It doesn’t last as long and it’s best to keep it in the fridge. The culprit for that is … water.

Yes the bearer of life also brings life to other things, like mold.

That’s why I vow to keep all of my recipes as water free as possible in the future.

Aaand, I will rework some of my existing DIYs to make them water free!

Keeping up with social media

I love Instagram and I practically live on Pinterest. But I still don’t use them as much as I would like to/should. I want my social media to be places where I connect with you.

That’s why I solemnly swear:

(If you just whispered “… that I am up to no good”, we should be best friends)

For my Instagram-profile @themakeupdummy: That I will regularly post previews of new DIYs, outfit ideas and completely unnecessary photos of my life.

For my Pinterest-account The Makeup Dummy: To share all of my DIYs with my followers and actually make all the things I’ve been pinning on my DIY Inspiration Board.

Other news:

You might be seeing a lot more Apartment inspired DIYs popping up soon!

Corresponding resolution: Trying not to freak out about being an adult now
