Easy DIY Gold Lace Crown

Today I’m gonna party and sip Bacardi, because this is in fact the day that I was born.

It’s weird how I only realized a week ago how beautifully symmetric my birth date is: 11-22. And I wonder why I have OCD sometimes.

I thought I’d post a Birthday appropriate DIY today: a sweet yet stylish Lace Crown.

What you’ll need:

  • Lace
  • Spray paint
  • Empty water bottle
  • Glue

Cut a pretty design out of your lace.

Take an empty water bottle (or a full one, it doesn’t really matter). Wrap your lace around the bottom of the bottle. Cut the excess off and glue the ends together.

Spray, spray, spray!

Get your spray can out and spray your crown with several coats. I used gold.

Wait for your crown to completely dry. Your lace will get hard and you’re crown should stand upright.

Whatever the occasion might be, you look fabulous.

Time to rock your crown!

I love this. How do you keep it from moving on your head though? Or is the bottle the size of your head too?

Hi, good question! I use bobby pins. I pin it through one of the holes of the lace and then I pin it to my hair.
