Chocolate, love and massages. All things you can’t get enough of? Have I got a recipe for you!
It’s inspired by a Lush favorite: Soft coeur. Although it’s on the to buy list of many, very few people seem to get excited about the chocolate center.
By incorporating the cocoa powder into the bar itself, you avoid any gooey mess. Problem solved! And that’s what DIYing is about.
What you’ll need for 6 mini-hearts (or 1 big one):
- 5 tbsp of cocoa butter
- 1/2 tbsp of almond oil
- 2 tsp of cocoa powder
Melt your butter in a double boiler. Once it’s melted, take it off the heat.
Add your almond oil, stir well and let it sit.
I wanted a marbled effect, so I waited for the mixture to become more or less solid, but still runny. Then I divided it into two batches and added the cocoa powder to one of them. Reunite the two and scoop it into your molds.
Are you one of few that likes a little bit of a chocolate mess? Sub the cocoa powder for some real melted dark chocolate! The chocolate will sink to the bottom: that way you have one side to use as your moisturizing massage bar. Flip it over, and you have a little chocolate surprise!
Let the bars solidify overnight, or put them in the fridge. And they’re ready to use!
Feeling the love already?
