What’s in my hand luggage beauty case? {Citytrip edition}

1. A few pumps of your favorite cleanser

… and a few more just to be sure. Count the times you’ll be needing your cleanser (morning and evening!) and take about 1/3 extra with you.

2. Quick & Easy DIY Shower Gel Scrub

I made my own shower scrub by adding coarse sea salt to my shower gel. I added 1 teaspoon of salt per 10 ml.

3. A bottle of shampoo

To save space, you can go for one of those 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioners.

Most hotels these days have freebie toiletries. Feel like living on the edge? Only pack your favorite conditioner.

4. Makeup remover

Well… to remove your makeup.

5. De-puffing eye gel

To conceal those early mornings and late nights!

I love this eye gel from Essence, one of my favorite drugstore ánd makeup brands.

6. DIY ‘Does it all’ Lotion

This combination of shea butter and olive oil is perfect for all types of uses. I use it as an under eye cream, but it’s also a great glossy lipbalm or healing salve for dry spots.

7. Tinted, Moisturizing Sunscreen

All-in-one prducts are great for trips. This CC Cream by La Roche Posay color corrects, moisturizes and has an SPF of 30. And it’s a tester I got, so it’s nice and compact!

8. Effaclar Duo (Plus!)

Probably the best acne cream out there. It moisturizes and keeps your skin matte at the same time! I like to use it underneath any foundation or sunscreen that I use, to create a lovely protective barrier.

9. A tiny lotion heart

10.Toner ánd finishing spray

My DIY finishing spray for setting your makeup contains blossom water. And that happens to make a great toner! Spray it over your made up face to set your make up. Or soak a cotton pad with it when it’s time to tone your face.

Now all you have to do is decide what clothes you’re going to bring…

Happy city trippin’!

Love,
